Invest while young
Hi Kids,
Will you please invest in stocks and real estate as early as you can?
Think about it: you graduate in your early 20s and retire in your 60s. That gives you roughly 40 years to invest for your retirement. The purpose of your retirement money (or pension) is so you don't need to be dependent on your children when you grow old, plus so you can maintain your lifestyle even if you no longer get your active income from your 9-5 work.
So when you wait until you're 40 to start investing, what happens? You're left with just 20 years to save up for your retirement. Yes, this still looks like a considerable amount of time, but do you know that people purchase a house/property with an average payment option of 10 years to pay? Eh you still need to send your kids to school tapos may other payments to be made pa.
Maybe you can still enjoy your first 5 or 10 years after college before going full-steam in your investment plans? Para naman you do not feel bad na panay save na lang ng save. Of course, it is imperative that you still reward yourself for your hard work. Let me know your thoughts and plans ha.

E-mail When Applying For Work
Please, please, please create a professional-sounding email using your real name when you apply for jobs. Never use e-mails like girlalush@something.com or pogiako@something.com in your resumes.

Fwd: For the Chikitings: My Teachable Points of View
Kids, if I can summarize my life lessons into main items, here's what I'll have.
• Kung gagawa ka ng mali, gawin mo na ng tama. – since life is not black and white, but a multitude of gray, make sure you got all bases covered before you make a decision. Parang game of chess lang, check all angles before you plunge in.
• Choose your battles. – this is best explained in the four points below:
– Know yourself. Know your rights. Know your worth. Know what you can do. Be confident. Wag ma-insecure.
– Know your limits. Know when to let go of your wants or rights. Di lahat ng karapatan mo o gusto mo, kelangan mo ipaglaban hanggang patayan.
– Don't wash your dirty linen in public.
– Don't put people on the spot. Don't push them against the wall. Di siya magandang experience and I wouldn't want that to happen to you.
• Set your eye on the goal. Know the law of attraction – kung ano yung gusto mo, lagi mong isipin or tignan ang picture and makikita mo nalang, ayan na siya. I don't think it applies to relationships though :P
• Build and establish relationships. Wala kang mararating without the help of the people you meet along the way. Learn to appreciate every person you meet, may good points din sila kahit di lahat obvious agad. ;)
